The Study Is Open: Welcome to the MentorMinds Beta

MentorMind

The doors are unlocked

For the past months, MentorMinds has been open by invitation only — a quiet room where early guests helped us arrange the furniture. As of this week, the invite code is gone. The open beta has begun: anyone can create an account, seat a table, and start a conversation with history's greatest minds. 25 free messages every month, no card required. We couldn't be more excited (the mentors too were getting bored waiting for you).

What waits inside

A roster of 100+ mentors, each an original AI simulation built faithfully from their writings, speeches, and documented lives — from Marcus Aurelius and Confucius to Marie Curie, Virginia Woolf, and Thomas Paine. Every profile carries their story, sourced quotes, and the books to go deeper. The wisdom and guidance available in every conversation is pointed and priceless.

Curated tables for the seasons of a real life: The Stoic Council for hard weeks, A Room of One's Own for claiming your creative space, The Pamphleteers for the argument you need to land, The Boardroom for building something that lasts. One click seats the whole table.

The tools of a study, not a chat app: highlight any line to save it as a quote, keep notes alongside every conversation, ask for Takeaways when a session runs deep, and share a transcript with anyone.

The Journal and the daily quote — essays on the mentors' lives and collisions of their philosophies, introductions to new mentors, and one sourced line of wisdom every morning.

How to get the most from the table

A few habits our beta guests found early:

  • Bring a real question. The table is at its best with something you're actually carrying — a decision, a stall, a doubt. Or get curious about the mentor(s) and ask about their life and lessons they learned along the way.
  • Seat disagreement on purpose. Machiavelli and Confucius will not hand you the same answer. Two or three mentors with different instincts turn advice into deliberation and healthy debate — that's the mastermind effect.
  • Direct your follow-ups. Address one mentor by name to go deeper with them alone.
  • Push back. These minds enjoy being challenged. Tell Marcus his advice feels impossible this week — what comes back is usually the best part of the session.
  • Keep what strikes you. Highlighted quotes and notes build your own commonplace book over time — free, and never spending a message.

New minds arrive weekly

The roster is alive. New mentors and new curated tables join the study every week — recent arrivals include Margery Kempe, Phillis Wheatley, Jonathan Edwards, and Emily Dickinson, with tables like The Poets' Corner and The Self-Reliance Circle seated around them. Watch the Journal and our social channels for each week's introductions, and tell us who you'd seat next.

Found a bug? That's worth 100 messages

A beta is a room still being polished, features added, user experience updates, and sharp eyes deserve rewards: find a genuine bug and we'll add 100 free messages to your account as thanks. Send what you found through customer support or the feedback form — a screenshot and a sentence about what you expected is plenty.

Pull up a chair

The study is open, the mentors are seated, and the first question is yours. We're glad you're here.
